Can anyone tell me an easy way to add a news feed to my BBS? CNN or NYTIMES. Just the top headlines. Can someone make a mod for synchronet. There is one for Mystic. Well actually there's a lot of mods for Mystic I like. I just prefer Synchronet but anyway I see SysOps are making mods for their boards so I thought I'd ask if a "current headlines" mod for synchronet is possible. It could pull news from any news service on the internet. Has anyone seen the Covid 19 mod for Mystic? Very Cool.

I feed some FidoNet and Othernets echos with various sports
headlines, sourced from RSS feeds. The main tool for this is
included in SBBS, it's called "web_feed_importer.js" and is in
your /sbbs/exec directory. Written by Echicken. The instructions
for use are documented at the top of the JS file, mainly just
requires some simple edits in /sbbs/ctrl/modopts.ini, and setting
up a Timed Event. Pretty easy and works great.

Assuming your source has an RSS feed, you should be able to do this very easliy.

I think there's already a .js module for pushing an RSS feed into a
message board.

Thanks but this didn't work. What is the link for the feed you use? I tried the CNN rss link. Maybe it's wrong? The setup is easy but it didn't work for me. Has anything changed?
