Hello,
I was trying to fix an error that cropped up when trying to pull
DOVE-NET messages. The error stated that there was "No such file
or directory" and I saw the path to /sbbs/data/subs/dove-general
and tried to correct it but when I couldn't, I thought I could
just delete the sub-board and then re-create it exactly. Well,
that didn't quite work either. Now, I have the additional
cosmetic thing of the board being out of order. Is there anyway
to put it back into order?
I am also seeing this error but not sure how to correct it:
Mon Jun 22 03:50:10 2020 oneness-bbs.dragonflymoon.org
evnt QNET !ERROR 2 (No such file or directory) in getmsg.cpp line
86 (loadmsg) reading "(049C20) #435/435
/sbbs/data/subs/dove-syncdisc" access=-103 info=smb_getmsghdr
corrupt message header ID (2E 31 39 34) at offset 302112
Not sure how to fix this?
Thanks for any help.
Highlight the one that's out of order. Look at the bottom of your
screen and you'll see commands: ^X to cut it, then move the
cursor/lightbar to where you want it to be in the list and use ^C
to copy it there. Done.
There is also a utility to fix errors called "fixsmb" but not

That worked like a charm! Thanks so much. It was so simple, I am surprised I didn't see that to begin with.

That worked also! "fixsmb" worked flawlessly! Thanks so much! I
was banging my head against the wall trying to figure that one
out. Also with chksmb, there were 8 sub-boards found with errors.
Thanks so much for the information!
No problem. Remember that the Wiki is your friend, it's quite an
excellent resource:
Yeah, I guess RTFM.. right? Yeah, I do read the manual but perhaps not the whole thing. Get the installation and setup read and that was about it. Just didn't think of searching to solve errors. :)

Next time, post the original error here and get help.
Yes, you can re-arrange areas in SCFG using cut and paste.
Start with fixsmb. Use chksmb to see if it's fixed.
