I'm getting this problem when trying to send an outbound E-mail. I've reviewed the wiki on setting it up, and it's correct I believe. I'm also setup through DigitalMan and Synchronet. The address is correct, so what's the problem?

Your ISP is likely blocking outbound connections to TCP port 25, so
you'll need to relay to TCP port 587 at mail.synchro.net as documented here:

Can you by chance add these two lines to your Golded config, please?
CTRLINFO no
CTRLINFOECHO no
or
CTRLINFO tearline
CTRLINFOECHO tearline
The top set will get rid of the double tearline/origin line and let Synchronet do what it does. The second one will still add the Golded information, but at least it won't double up the origin line.

Nick

quoted it! Do you even read the replies you get??? WTF?

That looks a heck of a lot better!
Now if you hit ALT-V on your message to view hidden lines and kludges,
you can see that Golded fills in the PID kludge when it doesn't use
the tearline, as you can see I quoted above. Looks great!

WOW, your first instinct is to attack the person asking a question, because YOU think it's a dumb one, instead of "HELPING", or just not saying something. I got his answer the first time and made the change,
it worked, I was a bit confussed by the way it was explaned on the
wiki, so I ask a question about that. Sorry I don't know everything aboutthe Synchronet setup.
Thanks for that help! I did go back and change the CTRLINFOECHO TO TEARLINE, just to see how that come out.

This is how it looks here. Your PID kludge is gone, now that you're using the tearline option.
Note: SBBSecho changes the "---" to "===" so there isn't two tearlines in your message.
Either way is fine, The first option makes your message look cleaner (less stuff under your signature), in my opinion. I was just trying to help you get rid of the origin line that was being repeated. You should also be able to use these same settings on your Mystic areas when you write to those.
Why does this say port 25
Because that's the default value and you haven't changed it.
and your telling me 587?
Correct.
