• Mixed up Usernet groups?

From poindexter FORTRAN@VERT/REALITY to All on Sunday, November 01, 2026 12:06:48
I've started seeing messages from one usenet group on my board show up
on a different usenet group message areas on my board. Nothing has
changed in my config of these groups in months.

Here's one of several that was for alt.sysadmin.recovery that showed up
    in alt.bbs.ads:

Nope. I achieved full recovery as of 1 Jan 2023.

My newslink.cfg, dated 11/23/2025 includes the following definitions:

    AREA NEWS.ABA alt.bbs.ads a
    AREA NEWS.ASR alt.sysadmin.recovery a

And the internal codes match in SCFG.

Any suggestions on where to look next?

I didn't see this one, but I saw another of yours along with a few others that seemed to have been regurgitated there by Sean Rima's system.

Is it possible the Newsgroups field of the original message included alt.bbs.ads?
