I have no idea (I don't have the pulse of or speak for all bbs software devs), but Claude Code does seem to be generally taking a strong hold among programmers these days.

I think Claude is good, though I've also used Cursor and I think Cursor is pretty good too. Cursor is also less expensive (it lets you use it more for their $20/month tier). I haven't done a thorough comparison between code quality between Cursor & Claude though; maybe Claude is able to produce higher-quality code.

With Claude, I run into their rate limiting very fast on their $20/month tier. I think their $100/month tier would be better for me, but that's a significant difference in price, and in some cases, with that money, I might be able to find some existing software rather than use Claude to make one.

I upgraded from $20 to $100/month Claude Code subscription pretty quick (after adding some "extra time" and calculating that the $100/month would actually save me money). I've also heard good things about OpenAI's Codex and watching a demo, it seemed very similar to Claude Code in function and capability, but cheaper than Claude.

All of these AI code services are likely currently way *under* charging based on their cost to operate. They're going to continue to get better, no doubt, but I think they're also going to get more expensive at some point.

i'm having a lot of problems with it not giving me my code and having me wait another 4 hrs. it has it, doesnt output it. then i ask where's the code and then it thinks again and does the 4 hr wait.

this has happened to me for 3 days straight last week. the ai and support forums say this shouldn't be happening.

How are you running Claude (e.g. from a web browser, app, command-line) and what kind of subscription do you have?
