I have a friend who has a bachelor's degree in computer science, has a great job, and is very intelligent in many ways.

I don't personally know any philosophers. I also didn't personally know George Carlin.

But if we go historically, Immanual Kant's theories are the basis of most of modern ethical philosophical studies. Everything to him was black & white though, ("it is wrong to lie, even to a murderer"). He was overtly racist in many of his texts, using other philosophers opinions to support his bigotry, and was considered one of the founders of "scientific racism". He had similar low opinions of women.
