But I've got some problem with Tommi's gate. It's the only way to get here for me. Many gates don't like echo names which have underline symbol like ENGLISH_TUTOR.

That's most unfortunate. There are some 50 or more echoes that have an underscore in their name, many of them have been in existence for decades. I'm afraid it's up to Tommi to fix his problem, not up to us to change our naming standards. Perhaps there's some other gate you could use?

First of all, the Smapinntpd server here is NOT a gateway. It is a NNTP reader for fidonet msgbase.

Secondly, I have never heard or experienced of any problems with echos / newsgroups with "_" in the name. So I see nothing to fix.

Well, it's complicated. The "gateway" is a dated term now, probably?

Maybe so. I think that "gated" messages pass from one network to another. Like from usenet to fidonet and vice versa.

Now Tommi's gate is working well. But for instance my main gate news.dewy.ru doesn't accept my messages to ENGLISH_TUTOR (only).

_Your_ NNTP have never had the problem with "_", and I've never claimed it. (And BTW these problems on other NNTP gates are in this form - a person cannot send his message to the area ENGLISH_TUTOR, but can read from there).

I had another problem with your NNTP - I couldn't read messages from ENGLISH_TUTOR, while I could read messages from fidonews, for instance. ;)
Also I now I can't send a test message to your +localtest+. Or at least I cannot see that they arrive there.

Have you contacted the SysOp? Could be that it was set to r/o in his configs.
