This "invasion" resembles me the way the Russian troops entered in
    Ukraine in February 2022.

Not at all. The Russian invasion was poorly planned and even worse executed.

Bad intelligence about the adversary, impossible lengthy but thin supply lines where e.g. fuel-supply trucks needed to be fuelled themselves at least twice before reaching the units that needed it ... a crucial mistake and only that in itself meant catastrophy ... someting entirely different than a cat-ass trophy.

And the invasion rather looked like a crazy fashion
defile with tanks instead of girls. They defiled in this way almost to Kiev.

Yes, the Russians even had their parade uniforms with them to march into Kiev.

    Then something happened...

Russia simply is not equipped for a land-based war against an adversary willing to fight. The only advantage they have are the numbers, another hundred thousand killed more or less doesn't matter. There're enough where that came from.

Same tactic as WW2 ... the law of numbers ...

Russian generals and Putin didn't plan to fight at all. They had an
illusion that Ukraine army would support them in dismissing those who
came to power in 2014. They didn't take into account, however, that
military men are like a dog - it follows orders. ;-)

You know something? I'm agreeing with you ... it was the first mistake ... I mean by the Russian military.

So here we are now in the 3rd year of a conflict which Ukraine cannot win and Russia cannot lose. Which doesn't mean Ukraine is losing and Russia is winning...

A stalemate only has to last as long as the aggressor has a stomach for

Do you know, to make a boat rocked and overturned it's necessary to have
two foolish fighters in it. One beats the other and the other beats the
one. Russian military hoped for quick result and wide support within
Ukraine; Ukrainian nationalists has been inclined to fight until the end without concessions, and the bowels wind made their main brains to
believe that NATO will fight on their side. Not Ukrainians to be
military puppets for NATO in fighting with Russia under the encouraging
shouts from the European viewing stand.

It was a mistake from Russian side, but there it doesn't mean that there
were not any ways to avoid the war in Ukraine. It is true that an
agreement had been almost reached in Istanbul in the 2022 spring but
Boris Johnson had made all he could to persuade Zelensky to fight. It
was also his mistake, in his arrogance towards Russia and viewing the situation inadequately (although he could not think in other way). In
short, people who wanted this war were more numerous than those who
    wanted to prevent it.

Looking at the mistakes taken, people must understand a simple thing -
those easy bloodless solutions that were before the current bloodshed
are not available now. If you squeezed out tooth paste from the tube you cannot put it back. And every bad decision on both sides have its price
    which must be paid.

When an operating system is ruined you can restore it with a saved
backup. It cannot be applied to Ukraine of course, but people now must
clearly to see and understand the real point of the crash in 2014. And
they will see a real picture -- the Ukraine divided in two
irreconcilable parts. So the only viable solution is to separate these
two parts and make peace. It has been done in Yugoslavia, it can be done
    in Ukraine.

If the USA and NATO would had started to arm Croats and Muslims against
Serbs in Yugoslavia that war would not have ended. But understanding
that Yugoslavia cannot be saved as it was helped to make peace.

You don't know anything about what the Russian military was actually thinking. It's only your fantasies.

Ukrainians to be military puppets for NATO in fighting with Russia
under the encouraging shouts from the European viewing stand.

"Puppets" is a strong word from a man who has no right to vote for his own city mayor because his masters in Moscow decided so :)

there were not any ways to avoid the war in Ukraine. It is true that

No, it's also your fantasies. Russia sent our very famous clown, Minister Medinsky, for negotiations. He is well-known for writing fake history books and for stupid phrases like "Russians got an additional chromosome".

Clowns cannot make any decisions, they are just for show.

You're once again presenting rumors, fabrications, and propaganda as reality. This might work for those who are not well-versed in Russian domestic politics, but for a Russian, your texts come across as some kind of "fake news".

And they will see a real picture -- the Ukraine divided in two
irreconcilable parts. So the only viable solution is to separate
these two parts and make peace. It has been done in Yugoslavia, it can

Which parts? Russia announced that Kherson is a Russian city and that you'll be jailed if you publicly say it's still Ukrainian. But Russia has no troops there.

It's just some kind of delusional dream straight from Putin's rotten brain.

If the USA and NATO would had started to arm Croats and Muslims
against Serbs in Yugoslavia that war would not have ended. But

The USSR is long gone, Ukraine is an independent state and Putin even promised to respect Ukraine's borders. You're just providing the wrong examples for comparison.

understanding that Yugoslavia cannot be saved as it was helped to make peace.

Milosevich destroyed Yugoslavia when he decided to strip Kosovo of its autonomous status and began to talk about Serbia as the main part of Yugoslavia. This was long before the war.

    Best regards,

    Hello Alexander,

Russian generals and Putin didn't plan to fight at all. They had
an illusion that Ukraine army would support them in dismissing
those who came to power in 2014.

You know something? I'm agreeing with you... it was the first
mistake... I mean by the Russian military.

Do you know, to make a boat rocked and overturned it's necessary to have two
foolish fighters in it. One beats the other and the other beats the one.

Cajuns know better, and always make room for alligator in pirogue.
And also keep paddle in hand in case of emergency.

Russian military hoped for quick result and wide support within
    Ukraine;

Russian military got quick result. Just not the result expected.
And the wide support within Ukraine was enormous.

Ukrainian nationalists has been inclined to fight until the end
without concessions, and the bowels wind made their main brains to
believe that NATO will fight on their side.

Cajuns were here before there was a USA. What gave France, and
Spain, and the USA the right to invade our land and make it their
    own?

Ukraine is an independent and sovereign state. It is recognized
by the international community as such. The same as the USA.
So what gives Russia, or China, or India, or any other country,
the right to invade their land and make it their own?

Not Ukrainians to be military puppets for NATO in fighting with Russia under
the encouraging shouts from the European viewing stand.

Ukraine is not a member state of NATO. 32 other countries are.
But not Ukraine. But I do like the idea. In fact, Sweden liked
it so much that it has signed up. And so did Finland, which
used to be a part of the USSR at one time.

Good gosh, wouldn't that be the day when Russia joins the club?

It was a mistake from Russian side, but there it doesn't mean that there were not any ways to avoid the war in Ukraine.

The easiest, and best way, was never to have crossed the line.
Had the border been honored and respected, all would have been
peaceful and no war would ever have taken place.

It is true that an agreement had been almost reached in Istanbul in the 2022
spring but Boris Johnson had made all he could to persuade Zelensky to fight.

Vladimir Putin never raised any objection to Ukraine's status
as an independent and sovereign state - until he decided to invade
Ukraine (first in 2014 and later in 2022).

As such, Putin can never be trusted as a man of his word. He says
whatever is convenient, with hopes to get what he wants.

It was also his mistake, in his arrogance towards Russia and viewing the situation inadequately (although he could not think in other way).

Johnson was more show than substance. A Winston Churchill wannabe.

In short, people who wanted this war were more numerous than those who wanted to prevent it.

The graveyards are filling up in Russia. And the widows are growing
much more numerous. How much longer will it take for the inevitable
    to happen?

So here we are now in the 3rd year of a conflict which Ukraine
cannot win and Russia cannot lose. Which doesn't mean Ukraine is
    losing and Russia is winning...

Looking at the mistakes taken, people must understand a simple thing - those easy bloodless solutions that were before the current bloodshed
are not available now. If you squeezed out tooth paste from the tube you cannot put it back. And every bad decision on both sides have its price which must be paid.

Putin is like a gorilla with its hand stuck into a hole in the
ground trying to hold on to a coconut. He can't let it go even while
it is being captured and put into a cage.

The same could be said about the other gorilla. But since Putin was
the first gorilla to stick its hand in the hole in the ground it is
    all Putin's fault.

If only a peaceful solution could be found. For all sides.
A peaceful solution, with justice for all.

When an operating system is ruined you can restore it with a saved
backup. It cannot be applied to Ukraine of course, but people now must clearly to see and understand the real point of the crash in 2014.

Russia invaded Crimea (a part of Ukraine) in 2014. This was phase
one of a planned full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

And they will see a real picture -- the Ukraine divided in two irreconcilable parts.

The international community recognizes one united Ukraine, which
includes the region of Crimea, as well as all other regions.

So the only viable solution is to separate these two parts and make peace.

Real solution: Russian military leaves all areas of Ukraine.

It has been done in Yugoslavia, it can be done in Ukraine.

Ukraine is not what was formerly Yugoslavia.

Ukraine is not a collection of different countries.
Ukraine is not part one country and part another country.
Ukraine is not a country that can be taken apart, piece
by piece, by any other country. Ukraine is one country,
one people. Whose people can, and do, speak multiple
    languages.

If the USA and NATO would had started to arm Croats and Muslims against Serbs in Yugoslavia that war would not have ended.

You do realize how things turned out.
Kosovans were so happy they built a giant statue of Bill Clinton
for all to see. I have no idea if he has ever visited his likeness.
But I wouldn't doubt it if he has.

NATO just dropped a few bombs to get Serbia to submit.
First time in history no troops were needed to win.

But understanding that Yugoslavia cannot be saved as it was helped to make peace.

Slobo made peace with his maker and was never tried for his crimes.
Djoko is at peace with having just won a gold medal at the Olympics
and is now ready to take on all comers at the US Open ...
