You can use Newstap on a iPhone and connect to any BBS that supports NNTP & fidonet.
    The lite version is free.

Ok, I got the Newstap Lite app installed, but my ISP has recently canceled their provision of an NNTP server. Do you know of any free ones available that I can connect to in Newstap, please?

I found a list of free NNTP servers, but I can't seem to connect to any of them. Newstap keeps saying "cannot connect"; I've no idea if it's me screwing up how I p[ut the server name in the app, or other settings. . .

ok, back to the funnies. . .

Q: What do you call a group of network engineers? A: An outage

    Hi George,

Sorry, I only just saw this message.

I run my own NNTP server (tfb-bbs.org) but I can't connect to it using Newstap any longer. It used to work ok but can't get to work any longer.

    The Filebank BBS, eh?

How do I connect via telnet client? (I use SyncTERM)

Weird -- Google(via Chrome) just warned me about using COPY on Google(dot com)

    hmm. . a house divided?

NM telnet,I see you have it all listed on a login screen. .. nice!

So welcome me to Australia! *LOL*

I've been in New Zealand (virtually) a lot, & via a book series I'm currently reading, that takes place in late 19th century South Island, when the Brits are just attempting to take the islands back as a profitable colony of her royal highness Queen Victoria. The Maori aren't so inclined to let it happen, though, & know a few tricks the recosats never learned. (like being QUIET when you attack, & f your Queensbury Rules & such, like if your throat needs slitting, it's happening, even if it's before 09h00 & you're dead asleep, dreaming of smoked kippers & eggs.

ok, ok, on with the jokes/puns:

Q: What do you call a lazy kangaroo? A: A pouch potato.

IĈm roo-tinely happy when IĈm in Australia.

    "Trump is not my president!
    (so you support Biden?)
    "I live in Sydney, Australia."

    Cheers, mate!
