MICROSOFT IS USING BING TO TRICK PEOPLE INTO THINKING THEY'RE ON
    GOOGLE (3 MINUTE READ) [11]

Searching for Google on Bing (without signing in) takes users to a
page that looks a lot like Google. It's a clear attempt from Microsoft
to make Bing look like Google for this specific search query. Other
search results return without the special interface. Bing still
surfaces search results for Google underneath the spoofed Google UI.
Microsoft has used similar tactics over the years to convince people
    to switch to its products.

AMERICA'S FIRST BIRD FLU DEATH REPORTED IN LOUISIANA (4 MINUTE READ) [15]

The person was over 65 and reportedly had underlying medical
conditions - they were hospitalized with the flu after exposure to a
backyard flock of birds and wild birds.

I went to bing.com and typed google.com into their search box, and the bing results displayed another search bar in the search results. Is that what they mean? It doesn't look dishonest to me, just a suggestion :)

I heard about this on abcnews on the radio. It sounds like the media wants us to be scared of birds. That way, we stay indoors more, and I guess we watch more TV.

I don't ever use bing so I am not sure what the page looks like once you
search something. It does look to me that searching for "google" brings up
a page that looks a lot like a google search page, but the same thing also happens if I search for "grapple." Maybe it is someone trying to make
    somthing out of nothing.

That said, I just posted a second article about it. Sounds like they are having a spat. :D

I think it is more of a cautionary tale for those who are of a certain age
and have underlying medical conditions. That said, it won't keep me from
going outside (the piles of snow have, though!), but it will make me more cautious when it comes to places where birds congregate.

I still follow Fauci's original guidelines for covid-19. I wear an N95 mask to every indoor place I visit, but not outdoors. I don't believe that a human can get close enough to a bird, for a long enough amount of time, to catch a virus without the bird flying away.

Yeah, that gives the impression that he just happened upon some birds.

While I don't think bird flu is contagious in this manner, if you have a
back yard where lots of wild birds congregate (and therefore also poo),
there are diseases you can catch from them even if they do fly away every
    time they see you.

I can't remember the name of it now, but the one I am thinking of effect

I could be wrong but I'd assume that any "flu" is spread to humans primarily through the air. And if you live in some kind of a "bird region" (lol) then you're probably "40% more likely to contract bird flu."

Chickens. Farm ducks. Pigeons. People keep all of these for meat, eggs,
    or for hobby purposes.

It is not real common in suburban areas, but there are still plenty of
folks who keep them. Preppers suggest keeping chickens or other poultry.

It's a good idea. My city has an ordinance that permits only 4 chickens per household, and to me that's like 4 meals and not worth the trouble. I'd like to do it for the eggs, but I just don't know how to care for chickens or if it would be worthwhile to have just 4. I eat tons of eggs too.

That idea only works if the idea of virology works. And virology has been completely debunked.

+ No virus was ever isolated.
+ No virus was ever shown to be contageous.
+ They had to make up the idea of "asymptomatic" people to cover up the fact that people "had the virus" but showed no illness.

There's birds all over everyone's backyards around here.

But if you put a bunch of birds in one place, you get... lots of bird droppings. And unless there's some mechanism of cleaning that mess up on a regular basis, you get unsanitary conditions.

And what happens to people in unsanitary conditions? They get ill.

There's birds everywhere. Even in the desert. I haven't seen any state that doesn't have flocks of geese flying (and hanging around) all over the place.

But how can the droppings make people sick? Wouldn't the droppings have to dry out and become airborne to infect people?

I think it's easier to give you an example. In my area, we have a popular bike trail. It runs through an area that gets lots of geese during the migration times. Needless to say, unless we get alot of rain, the trail has lots of droppings.

Now, imagine a cyclist running through that. No fenders on his bike. He may not even notice getting small bits into his mouth/lungs.

Imagine a jogger running through it. Even if he avoids the obvious piles he will still pick up some. He takes off his shoes at home and rubs his itchy eye.

And, to use a leftist joke, "Think of the children!" You know that they like to get into everything - especially if they shouldn't - and put their dirty hands in their mouths all the time.

If the geese weren't there is it 100% clean? Of course not. But the odds are much higher when there's lots of geese dropping than when there isn't.

Well, I don't like the droppings messing up my clean home or getting in my mouth/eyes/nose.

Movie theaters are far cleaner. But we don't go much anyway because Hollywood only produced crap.

But only if they can profit from it.

Side note: The reason we have so many geese is because of a large vacant lot in our town. It used to be a factory, but the company tore it down and gave the lot to the town who intended to use it as a event area. They even put in electrical outlets every so often to facilitate it.

But wait! There are the evil PFAS chemicals in the ground. We need to fence off the land (making a nice quiet place for geese to congregate) then pay some company to dig it all up and put in "drainage" so that the evil PFAS stuff can be washed away.

It's been years and the area **still** hasn't been used for an event.
