Searching for Google on Bing (without signing in) takes users to a
page that looks a lot like Google. It's a clear attempt from Microsoft
to make Bing look like Google for this specific search query. Other
search results return without the special interface. Bing still
surfaces search results for Google underneath the spoofed Google UI. Microsoft has used similar tactics over the years to convince people
to switch to its products.

I went to bing.com and typed google.com into their search box, and the bing results displayed another search bar in the search results. Is that what they mean? It doesn't look dishonest to me, just a suggestion :)

I heard about this on abcnews on the radio. It sounds like the media wants us to be scared of birds. That way, we stay indoors more, and I guess we watch more TV.
also happens if I search for "grapple." Maybe it is someone trying to make somthing out of nothing.
That said, I just posted a second article about it. Sounds like they are having a spat. :D
I think it is more of a cautionary tale for those who are of a certain
age and have underlying medical conditions. That said, it won't keep me from going outside (the piles of snow have, though!), but it will make
me more cautious when it comes to places where birds congregate.
I still follow Fauci's original guidelines for covid-19. I wear an N95 masko
every indoor place I visit, but not outdoors. I don't believe that a humanan

They can if the birds are part of a domestic flock. What I took from the story was that the man in question (1) had other health issues, (2) was
65 years old, and (3) apparently had a domestic flock of birds (chickens or ducks or something that wouldn't fly away) that interacted with wild birds.

Oh, I missed that part. ABC News just said "he encountered a flock of birds in his backyard" and that made me laugh.

I thought it would have been the part of him yelling "Get the flock out
of my yard!"

Yeah, that gives the impression that he just happened upon some birds.
While I don't think bird flu is contagious in this manner, if you have a back yard where lots of wild birds congregate (and therefore also poo), there are diseases you can catch from them even if they do fly away every time they see you.
But seriously, I didn't know the guy had birds. But who keeps birds in their backyard? I mean, unless they're chickens?

Chickens. Farm ducks. Pigeons. People keep all of these for meat,
eggs, or for hobby purposes.
It is not real common in suburban areas, but there are still plenty of folks who keep them. Preppers suggest keeping chickens or other poultry.

I could be wrong but I'd assume that any "flu" is spread to humans primarily through the air. And if you live in some kind of a "bird
region" (lol) then you're probably "40% more likely to contract bird
flu."

There's birds all over everyone's backyards around here.
But if you put a bunch of birds in one place, you get... lots of bird droppings. And unless there's some mechanism of cleaning that mess up
on a regular basis, you get unsanitary conditions.
And what happens to people in unsanitary conditions? They get ill.

But how can the droppings make people sick? Wouldn't the droppings have
to dry out and become airborne to infect people?

If the geese weren't there is it 100% clean? Of course not. But the
odds are much higher when there's lots of geese dropping than when there isn't.

I just can't get scared of goose droppings. I'm more paranoid about
being inside a movie theater.
But I don't doubt that Democrats have a to-do list that includes making goose droppings more dangerous than they ought to be.
Movie theaters are far cleaner. But we don't go much anyway because Hollywood only produced crap.
But wait! There are the evil PFAS chemicals in the ground. We need to fence off the land (making a nice quiet place for geese to congregate) then pay some company to dig it all up and put in "drainage" so that the evil PFAS stuff can be washed away.

I took my kids to see the new lion king movie and the Regal Cinema
smelled like a landfill. They don't take the trash out until the end of the day, I guess. It was disgusting and we sat in that room for 2
hours.
That's what you call a piece of land that's "full of potential."
There's a former IBM building near me that supposedly contains some
kind of contaminant that "causes Parkinsons disease." I don't believe
it, but at the same time, I wouldn't want to find out that they were
right the hard way. (That's how they get us.)

But for that, I woudn't care unless the gov't was paying for the clean
up. Then I would have lots of questions for them.

We have this other building that's been sitting vacant since 1981 (or something like that.) There was a fire that supposedly "released
harmful PCBs," so the building just sits there. And that one is owned
by the city.
The city spent $53 million dollars on a cleanup attempt, but I guess
that attempt failed. I don't know where they get those numbers or that money from, but our schools still have hvac, plumbing, and parking
issues that "we can't afford to fix" and "there's no money for field trips" either. (Just lots of money to spend on unused buildings.)

When I hear that, what I really hear is "We want to funnel tax dollars into this process of 'cleaning up' this building so that our buddys company can get the money and give us kick backs."
They can do that with the schools because that spending is public record.

Don't underestimate the power of greedy leftists. The schools waste millions too. Just not $53 million in 1 day like the city did :)
