I've seen some lame ransomware attempts on my android phone too. It
said "Your phone is infected! Click here to get it fixed!" (or
something like that.)
But it was poorly made, because I think all I had to do was close the browser tab and I was good to go.
It was probably an "intelligence test" type of "ransomware". i.e. only complete morons (like most lefties) would fall for it.
I've seen it before and it's surpsingly effective. I guess P.T. Barnum was right: There is a sucker born every minute.
I assume that there is some kind of a hierarchy of ransomware, and that maybe the stuff made for businesses is more well-written.
Well, they have to get past a knowledgeable IT dept for that.
... Don't even TRY to THINK without proper tools.
