    Some of the legislation was signed into law: The Do Not Call Act, whi "increases penalties" for scammers was useless, so then the Demcorats came up with the Traced Act, followed by the Robocop Act, which are just rewordings of the Do Not Call Act, but with different bragging rights.

    Ahhh.. the usual "look like we are doing something" scam. They've
    tried that one before.

    It works for them from time to time. The other part of the game is where they make it sound like if you're not for it then you're part of the problem.

    But old people can't hear very well over the phone,

    They make amplified phones for old people. My mom has one. It's the
    only way she can talk on the phone.

    I like how my dad don't take the calls and has me (or tries to have me) handle all his business-related calls. He's a great guy because he sees the good in people, but unfortunately he don't see the bad.

    Ya, it's a mindset. It's hard to be in the "happy medium" there because you have to pay attention, think, etc. Most people don't want to bother with that and just enjoy their lives.
