    Have yet to upgrade to glibc-2.43 and it is uncertain at this point in time if that will happen. Lately this all has been way too distracting with no visable rewards ... yet. Maybe tommorow.

    I have upgraded to glibc-2.43 on my desktop just for a look.

    There are seds for quite a few (around 5) packages for the new glibc.

    efivars fails to build with glibc an d also efibootmgr fails to build I think because efivars is missing.

    Grub does build and install but fails to boot. I had to use a previous grub built with glibc-2.42 to install grub and boot.

    Same here. I can confirm that using a efivar from a glibc-2.42 build will work for efibootmgr with glibc-2.43.

    Grub does build and install but fails to boot.

    I managed to get grub-2.14 to build and boot (uefi) on both the glibc versions. However I am sticking with the latest glibc-2.42 build as the default rootfs ... for now.

    I still haven't learned to leave well enough alone.
